FSS COO Mike Dean and MAPS Director Kim Kovesci

The F-100 Super Sabre Memorial Exhibit (SSME) recently took a large step forward.  COO Mike Dean and CFO Linda Dean traveled to the Military Aviation Preservation Society (MAPS) Air Museum to discuss plans for the exhibit with MAPS Executive Director Kim Kovesci.  Kim explained the air museum upgrades including a new heating system and elevator to the second floor where the F-100 SSME will be.  The Ohio National Guard and the Ohio Military Exhibits will be in rooms next to ours.

Mike and Linda again toured the MAPS facility including the Gallery of Heroes and Aviation Pilot Training program.  This program for young adults  can accommodate ten students with a present enrollment of eight students.  Each will receive college credit at Kent State University after completing the program.  The next class is already full and has a waiting list.

The highlight of the meeting was the Friends of the Super Sabre donation of $10,000 to MAPS for the F-100 Super Sabre Memorial Exhibit.  Kim was extremely surprised and grateful and knows that the FSS is there to help us all preserve the history of the F-100 Super Sabre.
